60? You have to be kidding!

So, I turned 60 in April. Like most Baby Boomers, I can't believe I'm now a senior citizen. I still feel young, act pretty goofy and try to dress stylish. We were never supposed to age. For goodness sakes, our parents are sixty, not us!

What's even more disturbing is that I am married to a retired guy. He works part-time in a much less stressful job than he had during his 40-year career. He works in the same building with me and likes to give me his opinions on how I should be doing my job. It is a great transition job for him. But, the thought of being home with him 24/7 someday soon is a bit daunting, to say the least. The good news is that he still makes me laugh--a lot--after 28 years. One of his most endearing talents is composing original songs. His lyrics are pretty funny, but he was MIA when good voices were issued. His singing is so far off key that one of his teachers promised to give him a "C" in music if he just "mouthed" the words. Most of his songs are about me or our faux mini-Schnauzer, Biscuit, (who isn't very mini).

Anyway, here I am with a 64-year-old crazy man and an 84-year-old (in doggy years) faux Schnauzer trying to decide what to do with the next half of our life. All I can say is it is great to be sixty, sassy and sane (well, that is debatable!)
